I'm Claudia Ainsley, Emu Money's Brand & Content Lead. I write the guides, deep-dives, and occasional rants you'll find across our site.

My background is a bit of a zigzag. I started in journalism, spent time in brand strategy, and eventually landed in financial services content, which turns out is where all three of those things collide in the most interesting way. I'm the person who genuinely enjoys reading a 40-page ASIC report on a Friday night and then turning it into something a human would actually want to read on a Monday morning.

What gets me out of bed is making complex financial topics feel approachable without dumbing them down. There's a sweet spot between regulatory compliance document and actually useful advice and that's where I like to live. I'm especially drawn to investigative work - pulling apart product claims, comparing the fine print, and figuring out who's actually offering value versus who's just good at marketing. (Ironic, given I'm a marketer.)

Outside of work, I'm a cookbook hoarder, an aggressive dinner party host, and the friend who will absolutely derail a conversation to explain why a particular ad campaign was genius. Or terrible. Usually both.
